Course Summary: The purpose of this training is to provide public safety peer support team members the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide support, guidance, and resources to their peers during difficult times in their personal and professional lives. Court and Temporary Holding Facilities – Title 15 Training

Course Summary: This course is a basic overview of Title 15, as it relates to Court and Temporary Holding Facilities and Adult Type 1 Jails. Through lecture, facilitated discussion, shared experiences and case studies, the participants will develop a working knowledge of the regulations established in Title 15 guidelines and special requirements as they relate to juveniles. Course Summary: This interactive training will cover mental illness, stigma, substance use disorders, developmental disabilities and more. This course satisfies the requirements of Senate Bill 29 which requires all Field Training Officers (FTO’s) to have 8 hours of Crisis Intervention and Behavioral Health training.
The class will also feature a guest speaker, someone living with a mental illness who will share his experiences about the challenges of living with a mental illness.
