Effective Supervision for the 21st Century
Policing in the 21st century has become increasingly more complex and challenging, especially as a supervisor or leader. Today, more than ever, supervisors must be skilled and adept to handle a wide variety of supervisory issues, while trying to balance the needs of their employees, their department and the community they serve.
This interactive training will explore the current relationship that exists between law enforcement and the community and will discuss new ways of effectively trying to balance and lead in this ever-changing environment.
Presenters
Chief Neil Gallucci, Carlsbad Police Department (ret)
Chief Gallucci is a law enforcement veteran with over 30 years of experience. He began his career with the City of Long Beach in 1987 then joined the City of Carlsbad in 1990 as a police officer and worked his way up through the ranks. He served as police chief from 2015 until his retirement in 2021. Chief Gallucci facilitates training courses to a wide variety of law enforcement professionals and brings his experience and passion to all his audiences.
Commander Josef Levy, Long Beach Police Department (ret)
Josef Levy has close to 30 years of law enforcement experience and is a highly skilled facilitator who has conducted trainings for thousands of law enforcement professionals throughout the country. He has also trained at the international level, training law enforcement delegations from France, Germany, Israel and Russia.
