Working in a Diverse Custody Setting, “A Must for Anyone Working in the Law Enforcement Profession”
This course will examine the dynamics of stereotype, prejudice, discrimination and the impact they can have while working in a diverse law enforcement population. This interactive course will also explore racial profiling and myths surrounding race and the criminal justice system.
Presenter: Commander Josef Levy, Long Beach Police Department (ret)
Josef Levy is a retired commander from the Long Beach Police Department and was involved in designing the State Mandated Racial Profiling Curriculum for POST and the State of California. He is a subject matter expert and has trained thousands of law enforcement professionals throughout the country on racial profiling, cultural diversity and a multitude of human relations topics.
