Navigating Through the Challenges of Policing in the 21st Century
The nature of policing for the modern law enforcement officer requires a mindset of flexibility which allows a deputy or officer to adapt to an ever-changing landscape. Policing, with an adaptive approach, is the way our services are to be delivered. This course addresses and offers insight into the following challenges faced by law enforcement professionals: social media, “fake news” effects on critical thinking, police shooting statistics, relationships with the community, warrior/guardian mindsets, and strategies for continued effective policing.
