COVID-19, pandemic, social unrest, tactical alert schedules, politics, extremes, health concerns, relationship struggles…The list of words describing the stress of 2020 is endless. With that said, 2020 has also been an opportunity for resiliency, strength and growth. You may be exhausted just reading this description given everything you are working through this year. Join Heather in a straight forward and humorous presentation as she navigates and validates the stress and traumas of 2020 while providing a unique look at what building resiliency means today and into the future.

The class will be presented by Dr. Heather Williams. Heather was formally the Regional Peer Support Coordinator of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. She coordinated the OCSD Peer Support Team, responded to critical incidents and facilitates a modified critical incident debriefing model countywide.
In the aftermath of an active shooter event in Seal Beach, CA she co-founded the Orange County Association of Peer Supporters (OCAPS), which functions as peer support mutual aid.
A week before the training, all attendees will receive an email reminder for the event along with the Zoom link and training access information.
